Dr. Wilburn

Growing up in the state of Utah just south of Salt Lake City, Dr. Wilburn ventured south to complete a bachelor’s degree at Southern Utah University in Biology and Chemistry. During his time at SUU he married his wife McKaylee where they both completed their degrees and began their plan for the future in 2016. Directly after graduation they moved to Portland Oregon for Dr. Wilburn to attend dental school at the Oregon Health & Science University. During those 4 years, he thrived in his studies, was the recipient of numerous awards, welcomed his first child (a beautiful daughter), and graduated in 2020 with great honor in the top of his class with his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.

During dental school, Dr. Wilburn often sought insight and ideas about treatment from his mentors who were prosthodontists. As time passed and he treated his own patients, he became increasingly interested with the specialist way of thinking, their ability to tackle complex treatment with reason and solutions, and through their mentorship it became obvious to him that a training in prosthodontics would be his next step.

After graduating dental school in 2020, Dr. Wilburn had the pleasure of attending The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio for his residency in prosthodontics. His training came under the guidance of some of the most impactful leaders in prosthodontics where he gained personal experience and in depth training with advanced prosthodontic procedures. During his residency, and in addition to his studies, Dr. Wilburn was fortunate to present on numerous topics of prosthodontics, collaborate interdisciplinary treatment with his surgical colleagues, act as chief resident providing mentorship for newer residents, and was blessed with his second child, a handsome baby boy.

Dr. Wilburn graduated from UT San Antonio in 2023 with a sound understanding and abundant experience in both analog and digital prosthodontics — including full mouth rehabilitations, veneers, esthetic and implant dentistry, AOX “teeth in a day,” removable prosthodontics to include partials and complete dentures with and without implants, maxillofacial prosthodontics, and more. While in residency, Dr. Wilburn was successful in completing the first half of his prosthodontic board certification and is scheduled for completion this Fall, 2023.

The driving force behind Dr. Wilburn’s aspirations in dentistry is his family. He enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and younger son. Whenever possible, they are always looking for their next adventure, place to eat, and outdoor activity to enjoy. They are very excited to be back in the PNW where they laid their first roots as a young family.
